🎶 Birdsong Duet: Cuckoo Bird and Nightingale

This recording features the fascinating sounds of the Common Cuckoo bird, captured on a May evening in Henfield, Brighton.  There are also many other birds singing in the background, including the Nightingale, Songthrush and Crow.

The common cuckoo is best known for its distinctive "cuckoo" call, which is often heard in the spring and summer months, and perhaps even more famously for its brood parasitism behavior, where it lays its eggs in the nests of other birds, who then raise the cuckoo chick as their own.
